Celebrating 19 Years as Barrington’s Signature Magazine

Letter from the Editor

A Holiday from the Madness

By Lisa Stamos

We’ve enjoyed universally positive feedback over our 19 years of producing and publishing the QB. I have saved mountains of your cards, letters, and emails through all the years and appreciate the thoughtful words and encouragement to carry on. Possibly my favorite statement was that “the QB is a holiday from the madness.” (You know who you are!)

Our large team of writers, designers, photographers, staff, public relations pros, and the movers-and-shakers in our area who partner with us assures that our magazine remains a lifeline to the community. This was true during the pandemic. We never stopped printing and featured the important work of local charities. We thanked our first responders with a commissioned magazine cover illustration—the work of an amazing artist, Barrington native Amelia Noyes.

We heartily thank our impressive family of advertisers we call clients, and friends, who make Quintessential Barrington possible. Please keep them in mind when you are shopping for goods and services. Our advertisers are entrepreneurs and business leaders who work hard to improve our quality of life.

One thing I believe that we can all agree on is that we live in a strong community, one that knows how to pull together for the betterment of all. I hope you find holiday cheer and reasons to smile as you read through this issue and see good things happening, along with photos of your friends and neighbors.
